More and more businesses are expanding their business most especially in trading. Of course, when trading goods, owners have better opportunities in gaining better profits and improving their reputation. However, not all business owners have the finances to do so. Because of this, they usually opt for trade finance options.

As of now, there are numerous type of finance options to improve trading. These include cash advances, documentary collection, open accounts and letter of credit. And, the safest option for both seller and buyer is the letter of credit.

When using a letter of credit as a method to attain trade finances, importers and exporters need to work with a bank that will issue and confirm the guarantee of payment from the importer and exporter. Because of this, you can trade easily and efficiently. However, there are cases when individuals make mistakes in creating a letter of credit which can affect their trade finance. Below are some of the mistakes.

Not knowing the real purpose of the letter of credit
One of the main mistakes that business owners make when creating a letter of credit is they do not know its real purpose. Of course, financing experts can help you find the best options. However, it is the job of the business owner to understand the method. Sadly, some business owners let their financial advisers deal with this issue which cause serious damages to your business when neglected. So, it is best to understand the option first before using.

Not considering other options

As mentioned above, a letter of credit is the best and safest method to obtain finances for trading. But, it is still important for business owners to consider other options. This is important since there are cases when businesses can obtain better benefits from other payment options.

Failing to negotiate

When creating a letter of credit, there are also some business owners who fail to negotiate. In order to get the best out of the agreement, you need to make sure that all agreements are balanced. In case that there are any issues that can affect the contract, you need to negotiate and look for the best solution. In this way, you can both parties can attain better results.

Neglecting to review contracts

There are also times when business owners neglect to review contracts. This simple negligence can turn agreements into disputes most especially if some details on the contracts are not clarified during the agreement.

Opting for the wrong banking institution to work with

Finally, there are also some instances when business owners work with the wrong banking institution. Surely, most institutions offer effective and reliable trade finance options. But, not all institutions can provide you with the benefits. Therefore, it is vital to spend time and check institutions before opting for their services to avoid problems that can affect business opportunities and finances.

These are only some of the mistakes business owners need to be aware of when creating a letter of credit.

ANC stalwarts and veterans have once again called for President Jacob Zuma to step down with immediate effect.

This call forms one of many resolutions adopted at their national consultative conference which was held over the past three days in Braamfontein.

Former presidents Thabo Mbeki and Kgalema Motlanthe attended the event, along with several National Executive Committee members, in their personal capacity, including ANC presidential hopeful Lindiwe Sisulu, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Bheki Cele and Deputy National Assembly Speaker Lechesa Tsenoli.

The veterans, who were also joined by several civil society groups, the SACP, labour federation Cosatu and Sanco said they had come together "out of love and concern" for South Africa and the ANC.

They discussed issues ranging from the state of the economy, leadership in the ANC, electoral reform, and challenges the country was experiencing in its attempt to build a non-racial society.

However, the recurring concern for delegates in the room remained Zuma's protracted stay as head of the ANC and the country.

ANC supporters mostly focused their attention on the issue of leadership; even as the different commissions gave report backs and asked for input.

"There is no leadership crisis, we just elected the wrong leaders," Deputy Minister of Energy Thembi Majola said from the floor, during the conference.

Another man in the audience dismissed concerns over ANC policies, claiming they were not the problem.

"Remove the pigs before you implement these beautiful policies," he said.

'Betrayal'

The ANC's Billy Ramokgopa, who read out the declarations, said the elders of the liberation movement were deeply hurt by what they regarded as a "betrayal" of the people's long-standing support and trust in the 105-year-old political party.

"We observe that the current elected leadership of the ANC is paralysed and unable to deal with ill-discipline, incompetence and corruption that point directly to the highest offices in the land," read Ramokgopa.

The stalwarts gathering, which was also well attended by young members, was not endorsed by the ANC's NEC, which refused to grant its former leaders a conference that was not linked to the policy conference.

The NEC insisted that two days at the ANC's June policy conference was enough to discuss the moral degeneration within the party and decline in support.

Ramokgopa decried the state of education in the country, the levels of crime, the mismanagement of the economy and a leadership that "lacked honesty, integrity and a vision for the future".

Focusing on those in charge of the ANC, he said they had seen the crisis in the party cause "immense" damage to South Africa, which Ramokgopa said was the result of systematic looting, the unparalleled capture of state institutions, assassinations, failure to implement transformative social and economic programmes as well as the diminishing stature and reputation of the country and the ANC in the eyes of South Africans, the continent and world.

"The ANC has relinquished its leadership of society and plunged itself into an untenable political crisis," said Ramokgopa.

Self-introspection needed

The stalwarts, in an attempt to solve the crisis, proposed a range of suggestions which could be explored.

These included - working with its numerous partners who have a shared historic vision with the party, constant introspection, that a committee be established at the ANC's national elective conference taking place in a few weeks' time to design and develop a renewal document "for the sake of our future" and a plan of action, which must be monitored and thorough renewal of ANC structures including its branches.

Stalwarts also want the party's integrity commission to be an independent constitutional structure within the party with the capacity to act independently "from and without" the influence of the ANC NEC.

The veterans also advocated for "one member, one vote" to be the approach adopted by the party when it comes to the election of members of the ANC's executive, and for the president of the party to be voted for directly by the people during elections instead of the party, and that his powers be moderated.

The ANC belongs to the people

Former General of the ANC's liberation army Umkhonto weSizwe and South African National Defence Force chief Siphiwe Nyanda decried those who told stalwarts that their conference was illegitimate.

"[They are] saying we had no right to use the [ANC] banners but this is our organisation. The ANC is ours," he said to applause.

He said as elders they had been watching the ANC steer "this ship towards a huge iceberg" and that they were trying to prevent a crash from happening, but the ANC's NEC wanted to distance itself away from them.

"We want to rescue this organisation," he said in the conference's closing remarks.

He also praised Mbeki who earlier said: "The ANC was captured by a dominant faction which was in fact not ANC".

"He [Mbeki] was right," Nyanda said.

"The ANC has been captured by a clique that is very un-ANC."

Nyanda also said the current leaders had no right to claim the ANC, as it belongs to the people of the country and the continent.

VIDEO:ZODWA TEACH STUDENT ON WHY THEY SHOULD STOP USING COND0M

1. Kills the mood: Men often resent the simple act of reaching for a condom and taking less than a minute to slide it onto the peen shaft. As ridiculous as it sounds, this kills the mood for women, too. She loves safe sex, but just know that as much as it pains you to slip on a condom, it kills her too. Simply put, it’s just not sexy to stop when you’re getting hot and heavy

3. No friction: While condoms have changed quite a bit from the smelly, thick versions available in the 90’s into the odorless, ultra-thin pieces of magic in recent times, there is still nothing better than the feeling of skin on skin. Women love the texture of a peen, especially during sex. The friction of your skin in her honeypot is enough to make her burst with ecstasy. Condoms these days are usually sold pre-lubricated and smooth in texture, taking away almost all of that feel-good-friction she was getting from the all-natural you.

4. Some women are allergic: It may be hard to believe, but some people actually have real allergies to latex. Symptoms include burning, rash around the genitals, itching, sneezing, difficulty in breathing, watery eyes and more! Now imagine this happening as the culprit is sliding in and out of your genitals, definitely not the romantic end to the date night you were hoping for.

South Africa: UK Child Sex Fugitive Extraditable, Court Rules

UK fugitive Lee Tucker, wanted in his home country for 42 paedophilia-related charges, is liable to be extradited, the Cape Town Magistrate's Court ruled on Friday.

The court has not given reasons for its decision. It is expected to do so on Monday.

Tucker is in Pollsmoor Prison while he awaits a final decision on his extradition from Minister of Justice Michael Masutha, prosecutor Christopher Burke told News24.

He has 15 days to lodge an appeal.

Tucker's attorney Ben Mattison did not want to comment on the ruling.

Tucker was arrested in March 2016 after a provisional arrest request from the UK.

He had been on the run for 15 years and was declared a fugitive from justice in 2016.

He made a living in South Africa as a helicopter pilot and instructor.

Tucker was originally sentenced to eight years in prison by the Swindon Crown Court in South Wales in 2001, but the sentence was overturned on a technicality.

A retrial on 42 child sex charges was ordered.

The offences are alleged to have occurred in the late 1980s and early 1990s and were detected as being part of a paedophile ring in Bristol in 1998.

ITS A SHAME TO PRESIDENT MUGABE AND HIS WIFE

They were arrested after a rally in Bulawayo where Mrs Mugabe spoke last Saturday, the state-owned Herald newspaper reports.

They have now been released on bail and have not yet commented on the charges.

The booing came amid a bitter battle between rival factions of the governing Zanu-PF party to succeed President Robert Mugabe, aged 93.

Mrs Mugabe leads one faction, while former Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa leads the other. He was sacked two days after the heckling and has since fled to neighbouring South Africa.

The four accused are said to be supporters of Mr Mnangagwa.

Meanwhile, an American satirist arrested last week for allegedly referring to President Mugabe as "a goblin" has been freed on bail due to what the judge called "an absence of facts".

Prophet Reveals The Dates Of Death For Local Celebrities & Causes Of Death,Shocking Revelations
Soweto – A Soweto based prophet popularly known by his followers as Prophet Desmond left tongues wagging after yesterday’s Sunday service when he revealed the dates and causes of deaths of several celebrities.
The claims which he insisted that they were revealed to him by God when he was sleeping on Saturday night, have been received with mixed emotions by South Africans.
It all started when the prophet was preaching on death sermon,”Of all the fears that plague the heart of man, none is greater than the fear of death. It is our greatest fear, the sum of all other fears. We are afraid to die.We are afraid of what happens when we die.Death is the fundamental human problem”,the prophet was quoted.
”Having said that, yesterday God revealed to me the actual dates that some celebrities are going to die, unfortunately I have no power to reverse what God says, but I was really touched after the dream”,said the Prophet.
”Firstly God told me that he is going to take Winnie Mashaba at the age of 106 years because he is very happy about how she spreads his name through her touching music, besides,God described Winnie Mashaba as someone who fears and respect the Almighty, therefore she shall be granted long life and more blessings in return.Fortunately, she is going to die a less painful death, she is simply going to lose life in her sleep, just like that”.
”God also told me about Babes Wodumo,he was really angry with her and he told me to deliver a message to her personally that she must change the way she is living. If she doesn’t change she’s going to die a painful death by a head-on car crash and she will be admitted in hospital for 12 months before she dies”,continued prophet Desmond.

”We have the likes of Cassper Nyovest and Black Coffee, whom God told me that he gave them earthly riches to test their love for him despite the fact that they are not talented in what they do,but they seem to be forgetting the giver of riches therefore their lives are going to be cut short when they both reach 38 years through painful death”
When asked about his own date of death by the interviewer,Prophet Desmond said that he will personally inquire next time when God visits him.
Knives are out for the controversial prophet as the followers of Cassper Nyovest,Babes Wodumo and Black Coffee are baying for his blood for what they described as ‘misinforming’ the nation.

ZODWA OPEN DBN WITH LITEST DANCE MOVES

For a person with no matric and “no apparent talent,", she is doing the most. By the time she took me through the details of life as Zodwa Wabantu, I wanted to hug her.
I felt a strong need to let her know that she did good. I wanted to celebrate her strength.
Zodwa is fully aware that her “career lifespan” is limited and said it several times during the interview. She's here for the money and nothing else. She's not interested in fame, industry status or status quo. She's planning a “quick in and out”.
“I’m not here for anything other than money. All I want is my money.”
She wants security and that is her definition of happiness. Looking at her past, I understand. I was also surprised that despite everything she has gone through, she credits God for the good and bad. That's how she lives her liberated life.
The thing about Zodwa is that you can't box her. She's no nudist but loves being naked. She acknowledges a higher power but makes her own rules. Socially constructed theories? Patriarchy? She’s not about that life.
“I’m not easily intimidated. I know who I am. As I said, growing up the way I did, I could have been a useless person drinking alcohol at home or having three children. Or I could have died, but I didn’t. So now I am living MY life. I don’t care. I am living my life, my way”

Although Nketsi no longer posts pictures of "MK47" on her Instagram account, it seems as though the pair are still going strong.
It's been years since Nketsi posted picture of her boyfriend, on her Instagram account so her followers can be forgiven for thinking her relationship with Makhosini had ended but based on a recent Instagram story, that doesn't seem to be the case.
She posted a picture of a plexi-glass keychain featuring an image of her next to a man who looks like Makhosini with the caption "cutest gift ever."
Another Limpopo Couple Busted eating ‘forbiden fruitz’

Another Limpopo Couple Busted eating ‘forbiden fruitz’

Another couple based in Limpopo has been reportedly caught red handed eating the ‘forbbiden fruit’ in the bush around 2pm earlier today.

The couple whose names cannot be published for ethical reasons has apologized to all those who know them, including the friends and relatives.
At 13, Sakhile* is fairly typical for his age.

He likes football and accounting, and laughs easily with his siblings - even as he smiles shyly in the company of adults. Every day after school, he does his homework, washes the dishes and cleans his uniform.

At exactly 8pm, just as Generations starts up on SABC 1, he fetches a glass of water and a large, pinkish tablet and takes them to his mother, Zanele*.

He's coy about what the tablets are for, but he knows. He started asking questions a few years ago when the Amagugu counsellors began visiting the family homestead. Now he's also learnt about HIV in school. He knows you can contract it by having sex without a condom and he knows that you can get it from an open wound. That's how his mom said she got it when he asked. She said she wasn't wearing any gloves.

When she's ill, he and his five older siblings cook her porridge and fetch her water.

"It helps me to know that she has HIV," he says quietly. "When she passes away, we must know what killed her, what she was suffering from."

Sitting next to him on a grass mat on the floor, her twin granddaughters clambering across her lap and five more shrieking loudly in a game of catch outside, Zanele, 51, is fiercely protective of her family unit.

She doesn't like this community. When the Amagugu counsellors first came to visit her, the whispers among her neighbours left her feeling ostracised. "Bad people," she calls them.

But she credits the programme with helping her to learn to let it go.

"I don't care what people say, as long I'm here with my family. We're strong. Our problems are our problems. Everything stays here."

"A lot of moms do still worry about the stigma. We can't be naive about that," says Rochat.

Just who a child might tell about a parent's HIV status was a concern that came up again and again.

To combat it, the Amagugu team introduced a disclosure "safety hand" - a contract between the mother and the child about who it was safe to speak to about her status.

Then they began to notice a change in the children's behaviour.

"They didn't want to talk to us anymore," recalls counsellor Samukelisiwe Dube. "We asked ourselves what had happened, why they didn't want to talk. Then we realised it was the safety hand."

The children were sticking to the agreed list of names - and the counsellors' names weren't on it.

"After that we had to ask the mothers to make sure that we are also included," says Dube.

When the findings from the Amagugu intervention were published in the medical journal The Lancet in August, they showed a significant increase in disclosure.

Nearly 90% of the 235 mothers taking part in the training revealed their status to their children. Among mothers who were not part of the programme, only 56% could say the same

The researchers noted improvements in both the mothers' and their children's mental health, better adherence to treatment programmes, and an overall decrease in parenting stress. The Amagugu mothers were also 27 times more likely to take their children with them on their clinic visits.

"Communication is a positive thing," insists Rochat. "It builds strengths, it builds relationships, and it gives the mother an opportunity to be the hero in her family."

Even then, some mothers still didn't think their children were ready to know.

"For all the training and tools we provide, sometimes there has to be this leap of faith, to just trust that it isn't going to go badly," says Rochat.

When Zanele told her older children about her diagnosis back in 2004, when she was pregnant with Sakhile, she wanted them to know they could always come to her with their issues.

Now, Sakhile's big sister keeps track of Zanele's monthly visits to the clinic and, although the other older children are struggling for work, they always put a little something aside to make sure Zanele has food in her stomach before taking her pill each night.

Telling her family, she says, saved her.

"I'm so proud of my life. As long as I'm with my family, I'm okay."
